I’ve been walking around with a quiet, persistent ache in my chest. Grief, I think, for the state of the world. Wars still raging. Rights being stripped away. People just trying to survive systems that were never designed to hold them. And if I’m honest, I don’t always feel like I have the right words, or enough understanding. That sounds like a cop-out, I know. Ignorance is a choice, after all! And these days, with suffering happening on every corner of the map, how do you even begin to speak about it?

Take your pick. No one crisis more important than another. And that’s just the pain we hear about. There are so many voices, so many stories, that never make the headlines; countries left off the wheel of change entirely. We are living through an age of global grief. And in that grief, personally, I’ve felt utterly useless. Every effort feels like a drop in the ocean. I carry shame for being warm and safe, for having food and love and moments of laughter, while others live under constant threat or, don’t live at all.

It’s heavy. Like there’s so much to carry and nowhere safe to set it down. Like you’re doing everything you can just to keep your heart soft while the world keeps hardening.

The tools and coping mechanisms that once brought comfort feel too small. Like lighting a single candle when the power’s gone out across the entire city. A kind gesture, maybe, but not enough.

And still I know I’m not the only one feeling this. So many of us are still online, still showing up, still trying to live with some semblance of normalcy… and yet holding this grief quietly alongside it.

I’ve been reaching for my tarot deck. Not for answers exactly, but to understand how to be with the questions. To name what’s real and reconnect with the part of me that still believes something sacred can exist in the middle of this chaos.

So I made something. Make of it what you will. I just hope it helps, even a little x

It’s a tarot workbook to help stay present in it all. It was made as a sort of companion to help make sense of the mess (if that’s even possible), to provide a framework to come back to in times of distress and to help reframe tarot as a soft place to land when everything else feels like too much.

Tarot for times of uncertainty, transition and overwhelm.

Life doesn’t always offer clear answers, but tarot can help you ask better questions.

A reflective tarot practice can do more than soothe or guide. It can reconnect you with your values, sharpen your intuition, and help you hold space for complexity without shutting down. It’s a way to find meaning in the mess, and to rebuild trust in yourself as you move through it. This workbook gives you a structure to return to when things feel heavy, and a reminder that you don’t need to have the answers to begin.

Inside, you’ll find a mix of reflective spreads, archetypal prompts and guiding frameworks that explore what it means to hold integrity, courage and imagination when life feels uncertain. The work draws on themes of grief, belonging, agency and personal truth, offering ways to approach the cards as living companions rather than tools for escape. Each section is an invitation to slow down, to consider your place in the wider story and to find meaning in the act of paying attention.

Wherever you are in your practice, may this workbook meet you there x

With love,
Jess xo
